一 |     (ECNS) -- A minimalist bench outside Shiyuan Primary School in Beijing's Shunyi District has gone viral, with netizens calling it a model of smart, low‑cost urban design.    The single horizontal bar serves as a waiting spot for parents, a safety barrier and a resting place for passers‑by. Photos of the bench have drawn thousands of likes and calls for nationwide rollout.    Part of a two‑year micro‑renovation project completed in May, the bench sits under shaded canopies and complements new walking trails, rest stops and flower beds. Parents said the shaded seating makes waiting more comfortable during Beijing's summer heat.    "We had no shelter from the sun while waiting for our kids," one parent said. "Now we can sit and stay out of the heat.
